Primary Contacts and Primary Accounts

This new update now allows you to have a primary contact for an account (company) and vice versa. This becomes an interesting option to help navigate your deals quicker.

How to add a primary contact

To add a primary contact, you just need to navigate to the Account or Deal in question (detailed view) and add assign a primary contact from the field.

You will be able to add a new primary contact by clicking on the “+” or by choosing an existing contact from the drop down menu. You can also search for the contact of your choice.

How to add a primary account

Exactly the same as above, except that it will be for accounts.

Deals view

Deal cards will now have an extra field for the main account.

This means that you can now more quickly navigate your deals based on the linked accounts on record.

Q&A

  • What happens when multiple contacts have the same primary account? Or when a primary account have multiple primary contacts?

While the card view for deals or the detailed deal view might show multiple combinations, you will be able to see on the account/contact detailed view that the primary element will be based on what object was linked last. I.e: Linking multiple objects with the same primary tag will override the “Primary” element.
