Setting up your Pipeline

Setting Up Your Pipeline

The Deals section is the heart of the CRM. This is where you organize, track, and manage your sales opportunities. When you create a new Pipeline, a 4-step Setup Wizard will guide you.

Tip: You can revisit these settings at any time via the Options Menu on the left-hand sidebar.

Step 1: Choose Your Pipeline Type

The first step is to define the primary goal of your pipeline. Selecting a type provides a tailored setup with pre-configured stages and fields specific to that industry or workflow.

💡 Note: Don't worry about picking the "perfect" type right now. You can fully customize or change these settings at any time after the initial setup.

Choose the workspace type that best fits your current objective:

  • Sales: Optimized for deals, leads, and revenue tracking.

  • Partnerships: Specialized for partner and channel management.

  • Fundraising: Built for investor outreach and capital deal flow.

  • Recruiting: Designed to track candidates through the hiring funnel.

  • Orders: Streamlined for order processing and fulfillment.

  • Real Estate: Customized for property listings and buyer management.

  • Specialized Templates: Includes Projects, Support, Job Search, and Investor (Portfolio) trackers.

  • Custom: Start with a blank canvas to build a unique process from scratch.

Step 2: Configure Your Profile

In this step, you define the core settings and help the CRM tailor the experience to your specific business needs.

  • Pipeline Name: Give your workspace a recognizable title (e.g., "Global Expansion 2026").

  • Currency: Select the primary currency for your deal values.

  • Jira Projects: Search and select the Jira projects you want to link to this CRM Pipeline.

    • Connecting Tasks to CRM: By linking projects, you can directly connect Jira tasks and issues to Sales CRM elements like Deals. This ensures your technical or administrative work stays synced with your sales progress.

  • Description (Company Profile): Describe your company or specific use case here.

    • Why fill this out? The CRM uses this description to intelligently suggest the most relevant stages and fields for your specific industry.

Step 3: Review & Generate Your Pipeline

In this stage, the CRM takes the information from your Type and Profile to build a fully functional workspace. You will see a live summary of the structure being created for you.

💡 Flexible Setup: Don’t worry if the list isn’t 100% perfect. This is just a starting point—you can add, rename, or delete any of these stages, columns, and automations at any time once the pipeline is live.

What is being generated?

  • Stages: The milestones of your funnel (e.g., Lead → Qualified → Proposal → Won/Lost).

  • Columns (Data Fields): Specific data points for your deals, such as Estimated Revenue, Probability, and Linked Jira Issues.

  • Views: Pre-configured filters like Open, Closed, and My Deals so you can visualize your data in different formats immediately.

Default Automations

To save you time, the system suggests "Starter Automations," including:

  • Set Defaults for New Deals: Automatically populates fields when a new deal is created.

  • Stage Change Notifications: Alerts the team when a deal moves to a new stage.

  • Automatic Closure: Automatically updates Jira statuses when a deal is marked as Won or Lost.

Step 4: Add Members

The final step is to bring your team into the workspace and finalize the setup (you may decide to skip this step for now).

  • Assign Access: Search for and add the teammates who will be working within this specific pipeline.

  • Permission Management: Don't worry about getting permissions perfect right now. You will be able to assign and customize a basic permission scheme later on to control who can view, edit, or manage deals.

  • Finalize: Click “Go to Workspace” to launch your new Pipeline.
