How to Setup the automation rule
You can create the automation rule from the Automation Section - in the upper right via the “+ Create Automation”. You can find out more information here
Description
Contact Field Changes automation enables you to trigger an action as a result of a specific contact field being changed. This includes Custom fields.
Depending on the type of field, the trigger will be based on a specific alphanumeric value to occur in order to trigger the action (e.g: Last Name) , or a based on a specific set of answer (e.g: Salutation).

For example, you can have the trigger happen every time the last name of a contact changes to “Smith”
Supported Actions
Convert to a sale
The convert to a sale will automatically convert the updated contact into a new deal.
This will generate a list of fields that can be prepopulated onto a deal. Each fields can be mapped based on the fields from the contacts (including custom fields).
For example, the picture above shows that the action maps the name of the deal to the name of the contact and the description of the deal to the description of the contact.
Sync contact to Mailchimp
This will automatically sync the new contact to a Mailchimp list of your choice. To read more about Mailchimp integration click here: Mailchimp Integration
For example, we could set up a rule to have a new contact be sent immediately to the Mailchimp list named “JSoft”, then this could be used for nurturing campaigns or marketing reach outs.
