Data Field Center
The Data field Section of Sales CRM is a centralized place to see all the fields that have been created (both default and custom) for your whole Pipeline (Deals, Contacts, Accounts).
The Data Field Center can be used as a way to overview all the data and make sure it adheres to your internal best practices, can be used to understand the type of data that you have, and more importantly, can be used to create custom fields.
Do note that you can also create custom fields directly from the Deals - Grid view section by adding a column.
Navigating the Data Field Center
You can access the Data Field Center from the left hand tab of the app. From there, you will be able to see all the data fields for Deals ,Contacts, and Accounts (from the upper right section).
In the current section that you are in, you are also able to search for your field. This can be used to quickly find the right field, or ensure that not duplicates are done.
Deal
The Deal section of the Data field Center will display all the data types and data fields that are present in the Pipeline for your deals.
By default, you will be coming to the Deal section, but you can reassess the page from the upper right section of the screen where there are three tabs, denoting the three sections of the Data Center Field.
Contact
The Contact section of the Data field Center will display all the data types and data fields that are present in the Pipeline for your contacts.
You can access the page from the upper right section of the screen where there are three tabs, denoting the three sections of the Data Center Field.
Account
The Account section of the Data field Center will display all the data types and data fields that are present in the Pipeline for your accounts.

Creating your Custom field from the Data Field Center
After you navigate to the section of your choice (Deal, Contact, Account), you can create a custom field from the blue button in the upper right section of the screen “Add Custom Field”
A new window will open to create your new field.
There are three choices:
Text - Allows you to store some basic text. For example - Atlassian’s Entitlement number/SEN
Number - Allows you to store some numbers in a field. For example, Commission amount
Yes/No - Allows you to store Yes or No as a field.
You will also have to add a label to the custom field. from there, the field will be displayed in the Data Field Center.
At this time, there is not the possibility of doing dynamic drop-down
Editing or Deleting your Custom fields
You can change the label of the custom field, but you cannot change its data type. Editing a custom field’s label or deleting it can be done by going to the custom field of your choice and clicking the “edit” button.
From there, you can simply make your changes or delete the custom field (see Deleting custom fields for more information)
Permission
Only a user with the Admin permission will be able to access the Data Field Center and create or make modifications to the custom fields
Deleting Custom fields
If you delete custom fields, the information will not be stored by Sales CRM. I.e: the custom field along with its data will be permanently deleted from the pipeline.
Types of Default Data types
This section will list the current options for Data types (e.g: string, StringArray, etc.) do note that for default Data types, you currently do not have the option to modify their data types.
String - Refers to Text (e.g: Lead Source)
Double - Refers to Numbers (e.g: Estimated Revenue)
Percent - Refers to a percentage (e.g: Estimated Probability)
datetime - Refers to a date-time format (e.g: Creation Deal Date)
Boolean - Refers to Yes/No
String Array - Refers to a field that stores multiple value (Labels, Assigned to, etc.)
guid - Refers to a unique Identifier (e.g: Funnel Stage)
Issue - Refers to a Jira Issue
Contact - Refers to a Sales CRM Contact
Account - Refers to a Sales CRM Account
