22-09-2025: Primary Contact and Primary Account Improvement
Hello everyone,
For this recent release, we ease of use for primary contacts and primary accounts
Use Case for Primary Contacts and Primary Accounts
When working with a company, you might have multiple point of contacts (POC) that you interact with, with a main POC. Similarly, you might have a contact that is spread across multiple companies (e.g: sister companies). The “primary” tag allows better visibility on who the main POC or account is.
How to set a Primary Contact/Account
To note : the way the “primary” tag works for contacts or accounts are the same.
Adding a primary contact/account
If the account/contact does not have an associated contact/account, you will get a prompt to make that newly linked element as primary.
If you accept, then the contact/account, will now show as “primary”
Changing the primary account/contact
To change the primary account/contact, go to the Teams/Accounts section of the detailed view for the contact/account and click on the “three dots” for the element you would like to tag as primary.
There, you will get an option to “Set Primary”. Doing so will set the element as Primary
Dos and don’ts of Primary
Setting a primary account for a contact will display that information in the grid view of the contact section. Meaning that you will be able to quickly see what Primary account these contacts have.
Setting a primary contact for an account will also display that information in the grid view of the account and the detailed view of that account. But do note that it will not replace the account’s email. Meaning that if you were to send an email from the account section or the specific account, it would use the email associated with the account, not with the primary contact.
This interaction may change at a later time, but this is how it works right now.
