Introducing Reports

Navigating to Reports

The Report functionally has been added to Sales CRM. You can navigate to it from the Sales CRM side panel.

Interacting with Reports

In the report tab, you will now be able to see all the reports. Anyone can create or view a report, but only someone with the admin permission will be able to edit reports that are not created by them.

You can see a report by clicking on its name

You can create a new report from the upper right under “+ New report”. From there, you will go to the report graph creation process.

When creating a report or editing an existing report, you will go to the report creation page. There, you will have access to a few options.

  1. Report Title: This is where you can name the report

  2. Report Filters: This is where you can add one or multiple filters based on Sales CRM fields (and custom fields). Do note that at this time, some values will require a specific number or a specific variable name (case sensitive) in order to show data.

    1. When a filter is created, the bottom right of the chart will show how many records are being shown.

  3. Type of Graph: There are multiple graphs that you can choose to visualize your report. The options include:

    1. Vertical Bar Graph

    2. Horizontal Bar Graph

    3. Pie Graph

    4. Line graph

    5. Data aggregator Graph: Will display an aggregation of the type of data chosen to be displayed.

    6. Deals table: Will display the deals that match the filters.

    7. Goals: Will use existing goals to display the data against.

Do note that not all graphs allow you to display the same type of information.

  1. Measure by: Some graphs give you the possibility to change the Y axis of the graph is calculated based on the chosen option. E.g: Deal value, Average Deal value, Number of deals, Assignee, Status, etc.

  2. View by: Some graphs give you the possibility to change how the X axis of the graph is calculated based on the chosen option. E.g: Sale Funnel, Stage, Status, Assignee, date created, expected close date.

  3. Segment by: Some graphs give you the possibility to group the data further. E.g: Sale Funnel, Stage, Status, Assignee

  4. Deals: Below the graph, you will be able to see the leads that are being displayed in the graph and the amount of records that are being used.

  5. Export: This will allow you to export the report as a .csv. You will see the all the data that is part of the graph.

  6. Delete: This will permanently delete the current report.

  7. Add to dashboard: If you want the whole team to see the graph you created, you can add it to the team’s dashboard by clicking on the “add to dashboard” button.

  8. Close: This will close the dashboard and will bring you back to the report page. Do note that Sales CRM does not automatically save your reports.

  9. Save: This will save your report to the report page for easy access at a later time. Do note that Sales CRM does not automatically save your reports.

New Dashboard and Report workflow

With this new update, we are introducing a new way of interacting with reports and dashboards.

Start with a report

A report will be the starting phase for all your graphs. Reports are meant to be used on a user basis for a one time/recurring view of some dataset.

Add to dashboard

Once you are happy with the report, you can add it to the dashboard for the team to visualize the data. Note that the dashboard has maintained its core functionality (create new report, change graphs sizes, move the graphs, delete the graphs).
