There are many new features that have been released that we’re excited to share with you as they will make it even easier for you to use Sales CRM in Jira!

Inbox Functionality & Email Tracking (Gmail Only at this time)

Sales CRM now has the possibility of connecting your Gmail Inbox directly in Jira. This means that each user will be able to connect their personal Gmail account to the inbox.

After connecting your Gmail account (from the Integration section of Sales CRM), you will now be able to access your personal inbox directly in Jira

You can use the inbox feature to read and send emails directly from Jira - just as you would with your gmail account.

Another thing that you can do is to associate an email to an existing Deal/Contact/Account in order to track the client interactions done through that email thread (email sent, replies, forwards, etc.). Once logged, these interactions will be associated to the proper element (Deal/Contact/Account) for you and your team to re-explore.

You are also able to create deals from the inbox based on the email you wish to associate. (At this time, it does not also automatically log the email as an interaction).

From an email, you are also able to add contacts to your Sales CRM based on the email recipients.

The aim with this new inbox functionality is to help remove context switching, and make it easier to add more interaction points in Sales CRM

Finally, if you send an email with Sales CRM, you will be able to track when someone opens up an email.

Dynamic Filtering Option (Account and Contacts)

We have introduced Dynamic Filters for Accounts and Contacts. When looking at your list of accounts and Contacts, you can now quickly add filters on your fields on interest.

Adding filters will create a temporary filter (will reset upon refreshing the page). Furthermore, exporting the page with the Dynamic Filters will export only the filtered elements to a csv.

As a result, you are able to more quickly find relevant accounts or contacts, pin point duplicate fields, and export filtered data to be further manipulated elsewhere (e.g: Email reach out).

Revamped Import Functionality

The Import functionality has been upgraded!

We simplified the UI for the import framework and implemented a Merge Feature.

This means that when you re-upload existing contacts or accounts (based on Name and ID), then instead of creating a duplicate element, it will merge the new fields into the existing one.

For example: Max, who lives in Montreal is uploaded during the first batch

During the second batch, Max is uploaded again with now “Canada” for the country field. Sales CRM will now merge the two contacts together with the second import.

This will remove potential duplicates and make it easier to mass update lists of contacts and accounts.
