Contact Created automation enables you to trigger an action as a result of a contact being created in Sales CRM (e.g: through an import or manually)
Supported Actions
...
Convert to a sale
The convert to a sale will automatically convert a new contact into a new deal. All the possible stages will be selectable via a dropdown.
This will generate a list of fields that can be prepopulated onto a deal. Each fields can be mapped based on the fields from the contacts (including custom fields).
...
Mapping the fields
In order to convert a contact into a new deal, You will need to map some fields (for example, the picture above shows that the action maps the name of the deal, its description, etc.) - at a minimum, you will need to map the name of the contact and the description of the deal to the description of the contact. deal. This information will directly come from the Contact fields.
To note:
You do not need to associate the contact to the deal, that is automatically done
If the fields are incompatible (incompatible datatypes/variables - e.g: numbers vs. letters) then the fields will default to being empty
Sync contact to Mailchimp
...
For example, we could set up a rule to have a new contact be sent immediately to the Mailchimp list named “JSoft”, then this could be used for nurturing campaigns or marketing reachouts.
Additional Automations
Do note that you can also add additional automation steps to the Contact → Deal automation in order to make it more powerful. Some examples can be:
Automatically assign the deal to someone
Automatically have the deals be part of a specific funnel
Automatically have the deals have a specific stage
